Hu Xiao'ou

A Chinese-born musician and artist, he emerged from Chengdu's vibrant cultural scene to explore sound as a primary language of expression. Raised amid Sichuan's sonic traditions and evolving contemporary landscapes, he developed a keen ear for texture, rhythm, and space, translating these elements into immersive auditory experiences. His practice spans installation, performance, and collaboration, often emphasizing listening, perception, and the relationship between environment and sound. Across projects, he pursues open-ended listening journeys that invite audiences to engage with sound as a living, changing phenomenon rather than a fixed product.
