He began as a student athlete, learning the rhythm of a shell and the discipline required to synchronize motion with a crew. Over the years, he transitioned into roles that emphasized mentorship, strategy, and the daily routines that build endurance and trust among teammates. His approach blends technical instruction with a calm, encouraging presence, guiding rowsers through early mornings, technical drills, and the quiet focus that comes before race day. Outside the boat, he remains connected to the sport through community programs, clinics, and steadfast support for young rowers pursuing their goals.
